PROJECT DESCRIPTION:
Since 2010, McCarty Holsaple McCarty (MHM) has partnered with First United Methodist Church in Maryville, Tennessee, to enhance and expand its facilities. Through a series of visioning and needs assessment workshops, MHM collaborated with the congregation to develop a master plan addressing key areas for improvement.
The plan focused on several priorities, including expanding the chancel, improving sanctuary acoustics, reallocating staff spaces, upgrading the gymnasium for contemporary worship, and expanding the children's classroom wing.
In 2014, the congregation approved a $3 million Phase One project. This phase included renovations to the sanctuary, gymnasium, fellowship hall, church offices, and children’s classrooms—enhancing both functionality and the worship experience for the growing church community.
