PROJECT DESCRIPTION:
MHM designed CapitalMark Bank’s Oak Ridge branch to reflect its client-focused banking model while honoring the site’s history. Located in a historic shopping center, the project combined two tenant spaces—the larger one being Oak Ridge’s original 1943 bank—into a seamless, distinctive environment.

CapitalMark prioritized personalized service over traditional banking layouts. Instead of teller counters, the design introduced an open, lounge-like atmosphere that fostered a sense of comfort and accessibility. Glass-walled offices enhanced visibility and transparency, reinforcing the bank’s commitment to individualized service.

By removing outdated partitions, the renovation restored the openness of the original bank, creating a welcoming space that blends history with modern banking ideals.
