The Ken and Blaire Mossman Science Building at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, has been selected as an Outstanding Design in the 2019 American School & University Educational Interiors Showcase, the premier competition honoring education interiors excellence. The 222,000 SF facility was designed to advance the research and teaching mission of the University, helping UTK reach its goal for consistent recognition as a Top 25 Public Research University.
TRAVEL SCHOLARSHIPS
For many years, MHM, among other individuals, have been building a new endowment at the UT School of Architecture to create the McCarty Holsaple McCarty International Travel Scholarship. The first annual set of scholarships were awarded this spring, helping five students pursue design studies in Germany, Poland, Italy, Finland and Spain in the coming school year. International study was a life-changing experience for many MHM staffers, and the firm is proud to help UT continue this legacy in the future.
ORCHID BEAUTIFICATION AWARD
Orchid Beautification Awards are presented by Keep Knoxville Beautiful each year for buildings and outdoor spaces that beautify and elevate the local landscape. We were proud to have the Ken and Blaire Mossman Building win a Beautification Award in the New Architecture category this year.
