Congratulations to Jennifer Bradley for her appointment to the City of Knoxville Historic Zoning Commission!
The City of Knoxville Historic Zoning Commission encourages the preservation of historic sites and areas and reviews applications for construction and demolition within designated historic zones. Jennifer is excited to be a part of this important commission, which strives to integrate new development sensibly within historic districts.
The Historic Zoning Commission (HZC) members are appointed by the Mayor and confirmed by City Council. Members of the Commission have interests and/or experiences related to historic preservation.
The HZC is responsible for reviewing applications to alter, demolish or relocate properties protected by a historic zoning overlay, reviewing proposed new construction in historic districts, overseeing the identification and designation of historic properties, and making recommendations on National Register nominations.
