Lorena Martin, AIA
Originally from the Dominican Republic, where she holds a Bachelor of Architecture, Lorena came to Knoxville in 2015 to pursue a Master of Architecture from UT College of Architecture and Design.
With 12 years as a professional in the field of architecture and construction, Lorena has become an accomplished designer and project manager with experience in planning, design, detailing, and construction administration of architectural projects.
Being immersed in the construction of several projects in Haiti and Panama, ignited the flame that fostered her pursuit for community design and demonstrated the power of architecture as a humanitarian act.
For Lorena, finding a meaningful purpose for her vocation has been the most incredible experience of her career and more than justifies the exhausting work required to bring projects to fruition.
Lorena is part of the Pechakucha Nights Knoxville Board and works with Centro Hispano of East TN and other organizations to help bring diversity into the architecture and design professions.
