Doug, MHM’s Chairman Emeritus, embodies a lifelong commitment to the firm, having grown up within its corridors. This personal history fuels his passionate dedication to leading the firm's design and management endeavors. With a deep appreciation for the connections he's cultivated among East Tennessee’s business and civic leaders, Doug continually seeks opportunities to foster new relationships.
With a distinguished career highlighted by his role as design coordinator for the 1982 World’s Fair, Doug has played a pivotal role in leading many of the firm’s most renowned projects. From the Knoxville Convention Center to landmarks like the University of Tennessee Art + Architecture Building, Neyland Stadium, the historic Tennessee Theatre, and McGhee Tyson Airport, his leadership has left a memorable mark on the region's architectural landscape.
Beyond his professional achievements, Doug remains actively engaged in both professional and community groups, committed to championing the architecture profession and enriching the communities he serves.
