McCarty Holsaple McCarty LEED
The LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) rating system developed through the US Green Building Council is a valuable tool for our office. The LEED rating system allows evaluation of design options and construction methodologies to produce sustainable buildings.
Sustainable architecture is not new to MHM. Projects over the last decade include Ijams Nature Center and our work helping TVA create sustainable guidelines and specifications for all future projects. Last year, MHM was hired by the GSA to facilitate the Duncan Federal Building’s certification as the first LEED EB certified building in the South East.
Below is a list of completed and current projects.
- John Duncan Federal Office Building – LEED EB, CERTIFIED - 2007
- Clayton Homes Headquarters Building – LEED EB, CERTIFIED - 2009
MHM is committed to remain at the forefront of sustainable architecture. In 2003, Don Horton, became our first LEED Accredited Professional (LAP). On staff, we now have 17 LEED APs, including a Principal of the firm, with a promise of more to come.
