PROJECT DESCRIPTION:
The developer for two new amusement rides in Gatlinburg hired MHM Architects to design a facility that could serve as a single entry point to both rides while acting as a beacon to attract customers.

Located on the most heavily trafficked and developed street in town, the project's design seeks to distinguish itself from its surroundings and grab the attention of passers-by with a dramatic form that accentuates the drama and excitement of the rides. The exterior is punctuated with a simple, natural material palette of stone and wood to connect the project to its mountain surroundings.

MHM collaborated with Graphic Designer Tommy Stokes to incorporate branding and graphics for the rides into the design to provide a cohesive, consistent feel for the entire building.

MHM worked with a construction manager Merit Construction to develop a design and construction schedule that would allow the facility to be completed just in time for peak tourist season.
